Schilling strikes out 8 in Pawtucket

Curt Schilling pitched great in Pawtucket, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 8 in 5 innings of shutout ball. The Paw Sox lost the game in the 10th inning on a Brent Clevlen single.

"Most importantly I feel strong,'' he said. "I felt stronger as the game went on.''

He wants to get back to Boston but doesn't want to rush his return.

It should be interesting when Schilling comes back with Lester joining the rotation and Gabbard earning his spot. I was thinking of sending Wakefield back to the bullpen and having a rotation of:

Schilling
Beckett
Matsuzka
Gabbard
Lester
