Boston Waives Allan Ray

The
Boston Celtics announced today that the club has requested waivers on guard Allan Ray.

Hopefully this means that we're keeping Brandon Wallace. Wallace actually fits a team need, somebody who can actually play defense. Personally I think this was the right decision for both Ray and the Celtics. With his signing of a 2-year deal in Italy this was pretty much expected. Ray really did nothing but shoot and he didn't even do that well enough but I don't think he is tall enough to play SG and doesn't have the ball handling skills to play PG. So he really wasn't meant to play in the NBA. I guess this is a "Farewell" to Allan Ray. Good luck man where ever you will be.

I think A-Ray will end up finding himself on an NBA roster within the next couple of years. I think he will be an NBA journeyman, much like Eddie House, but I think he will make another roster.
